"The Musical in Need of an Intervention!"
Janet and Mark's irreverent musical cabaret War Games: Marriage on the Front Lines is a humorous and satirical look at the darker side of marriage relationships and the battles that people fight on the front lines of marriage.
A cabaret-style musical which goes where no revue has dared go before: head-long into the sacred bond of marriage. Songs and situations explore both marital bliss and marital battles.
It’s a six person cast (three men/three women) with simple set pieces and props and easy production needs. It is set up as a one-act revue, but can easily be done as a two act with an intermission.
The musical explores the games people play in the on-going relationship of marriage, taking a humorous, outrageous, and, yes, at times, bittersweet look at coping, sex, guilt, children, fights, divorce, and, ultimately, survival.

The songs demonstrate a wide range of musical styles throughout, from jazz to reggae to 50s rock and roll, from bossa-nova to high energy gospel and rock, to tender ballads, and more. The show is sprinkled with dialogue scenes to set up each number. This one-act 90 minute musical keeps the pace swift and the audience laughing, sometimes teary, but always surprised and engaged.
